Donald Trump - Winning Performance 27 June 2024
During Thursday’s 27 Jun 2024 debate, Donald Trump took immediate control by launching a barrage of invectives that Joe Biden struggled to match...
Throughout the 90-minute debate, Biden was consistently overshadowed by Trump, who repeatedly attacked him and often ignored the moderators' policy questions. This dynamic continued into Friday when Trump held a rally without Biden being present.
Trump's strategy was clear from the start: attack Biden relentlessly and prevent him from gaining momentum.
Biden's failure in keeping up played into concerns about his age and ability, allowing Trump to assert dominance and keep Biden on the defensive.
Despite Biden's attempts to redirect the exchanges to policy, Trump's effective one-liners dominated the debate.
Trump's aggressive approach put Biden at a significant disadvantage, and even when allowed to address the opioid crisis, rather than address overdoses at all, Trump returned to a previous exchange on trade and delivered a series of devastating verbal punches against Biden in less than a minute:
“Under this guy, we have the largest deficit with China.”
“He’s a Manchurian candidate. He gets money from China.”
“I think he’s afraid to deal with it or something.”
“He never took out my tariffs because we bring in so much money.”
“He’s got the worst situation with China. China is going to own us. If you keep allowing them to do what they are doing to us as a country, they are killing us as a country, Joe, and you can’t let that happen. You’re destroying our country.”
Yes, Trump was the undisputed winner of the debate...
