New Thought Books to get you off to a Good Start.
I am often asked which New Thought books are good to start with. The following list contains a foundational range of works that are all excellent entry points into the New Thought world...
I have placed "The Little Red Book" at the top of the list and recommend this as your first read:
- The Little Red Book - R H Jarrett (RHJ) - 1926
- The Power of Your Subconscious Mind - Murphy - 1900s
- The Science of Getting Rich - Wattles - 1908 (The book that inspired The Secret, by R Byrne)
- The Science of Being Well - Wattles - 1910
- The Science of Being Great - Wattles - 1911
- How to Stay Well - Larson - 1912
- The Master Key System - Haanel - 1918
- The Power of Thought - Hamblin - 1920 - (The secret behind The Secret, by R Byrne)
- The Game of Life and How to Play It - Shinn - 1925 (Reflected in The Secret, by R Byrne)

In the late 19th and early 20th century, the New Thought movement emerged as an informal coalition of organisations, authors, philosophers, and individuals who shared a common set of metaphysical beliefs.
These beliefs centred around esoteric concepts such as the Law of Attraction, Creative Imagination, the Power of the Subconscious Mind, Personal Power, Healing Power, Life Force, Projection, and Transformation. Numerous books were written, which continue to be popular to this day.
