20-Word Scripts – Jury is Still Out
The origin of the 20-word Script is often mistakenly considered "mysterious" and "unknown." However, it is linked to Christological principles within the New Thought movement:
"For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." (Matt 7:8)**
Note that this contains "20 words."
**The full quote is: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." (Matt 7:7-8 (KJV))
Examples of applying the principle using only 20 words:
“I am grateful for all I have and all that I am about to receive - abundance, success, happiness, and peace.”
Marketable Product?
A typical marketing pitch for 20-Word Scripts is: "Use these special affirmation scripts with faith and conviction, and watch your dreams come true."
"I am grateful for [insert desire]. I know that it is already mine. I am open to receiving it in any way, shape, or form." Before the "desire" inclusion, the script is already 23 words long.
Virgin says this script is "a powerful tool that can help you manifest your dreams and goals."
Unconfirmed reports suggest the Wesley Virgin "Genie Script" says:
"I attract wealth with ease, and abundance is my birthright, and everyday prosperity manifests in my life through divine grace." (20 words)
Application
As the script is repeated, visualise the desire already fulfilled and feel the emotions of achieving the goal. The more the achievement is believed and felt, the quicker the manifestation will be.
20-Word Example:
“I am grateful for my new wealth. I know it is mine already. I am open to receiving it now.” (20 words)
Conclusion
In the final analysis, 20-word scripts are another way to promote standard "Law of Attraction" affirmations for commercial gain. I see no unique or special system here – the jury is still out.

It all sounds very familiar...
