Easter 2025: Free Speech
Traditionally celebrated as a time of rebirth and renewal, Easter has often been a focal point for reflection and introspection. In 2025 (18, 21, 22 Apr) , this sacred Easter Holiday takes on added meaning as it heralds what many describe as the rebirth of free speech. This phenomenon arises in a world increasingly aware of open dialogue's challenges and restrictions.
I'm in a strange reflective mood today, and my thoughts are drawn back to 1968 and a Speech given by Enoch Powell at a Conservative Association meeting Birmingham - 20 April 1968. This was indeed a controversial political milestone...
